I hadn’t planned on a birthday dinner, but I ended up having one with close friends. It was a last minute decision. I am glad that I got to spend that time with them. We went to Zao, my favorite restaurant. Kurt, Greg, Brian, Aaron and Dan were there with me. Thanks guys! After the dinner, we all went to the White Horse. And in about half an hour, my other friends started arriving. Greg baked a yummylicious chocolate cake! He stuck candles all around the top, lit it and everyone sang the birthday song. It was a happy moment.
I cannot remember exactly everyone who came. Aside from the guys I just mentioned, there was Dan 4 (LOL!), Chris, Rick, Robert, Frank, Andreas, Robbie, Zak, Kit, Tristen, Neil, Michael and Mike H. Hugs to you all! =)
The next day, Sep 2, my actual birthday, Brian and I set out to San Francisco via BART. It was really fun. We got off at Powell, did a little window shopping at the malls, then walked towards Castro. What was so special about that day? Hmmm… everything! I felt like I was seeing everything for the first time, like a small kid in a big city! I liked the idea of walking around the city, see places and things that I have really taken for granted or have not seen because I’ve only been to the city mostly at night time. Oh, and get this. I got to ride on a MUNI train for the first time! Shallow? Nah! It was fun for me. I realized then that it wouldn’t be so bad to live in the city knowing that transportation will never be a problem. Besides, you can walk around and still enjoy everything. Thanks, Bri.
So, anyway, another year over, a new leaf, a new start… I do not know what to expect, but I’m pretty sure a new adventure awaits to be experienced!
