I realized that I had been so out of shape since I stopped going to the gym. It must have been a week after the SF AIDS Marathon. Hmmm about 2 or 3 weeks now. I know, I’ve been slacking off. The realization came when Greg asked if I wanted to join him and Mike to go running yesterday. I sort of felt good about myself, so I said yes. I was wrong. Greg and I did 3 miles and it was enough for me to tell myself that I have got to get back on the treadmill and start running again. Also, I have to quit smoking again!
After the run, Greg suggested that we do a lil grocery shopping for dinner. We got a couple of T-Bone steaks, some brocollini, bacon, a bottle of 2001 Artesa Syrah and some other stuff. Anyway, Greg cooked. I helped. =) It was a sumptuous dinner! Yummmmmm!!!
Anyway, what’s with the title of this post? Greg invited me to watch Avenue Q at the Orpheum. I did not hesitate. I heard the soundtrack of the musical on the way to camping the past weekend, thanks to Andreas. I thought, “Why not?”. During the show, I was laughing like I have never laughed before. It was a great feeling.
One of the songs that truly caught my attention was “There’s a Fine Fine Line”, sang by the character of Kate Monster, when she was starting to give up on love.
I tried to find a good video and this is the best I can find. I love this song to the core and have made it my new motto. Hehehehe! Trust me, you don’t wanna know. but here it is. =)
Lyrics:
There’s a fine, fine line between a lover and a friend;
There’s a fine, fine line between reality and pretend;
And you never know ’til you reach the top if it was worth the uphill climb.
There’s a fine, fine line between love
And a waste of time.
There’s a fine, fine line between a fairy tale and a lie;
And there’s a fine, fine line between “You’re wonderful” and “Goodbye.”
I guess if someone doesn’t love you back it isn’t such a crime,
But there’s a fine, fine line between love
And a waste of your time.
And I don’t have the time to waste on you anymore.
I don’t think that you even know what you’re looking for.
For my own sanity, I’ve got to close the door
And walk away…
Oh…
There’s a fine, fine line between together and not
And there’s a fine, fine line between what you wanted and what you got.
You gotta go after the things you want while you’re still in your prime…
There’s a fine, fine line between love
And a waste of time.
