In just a couple of days, I will be on my way to Hawaii for the very first time. I believe that this is the highlight of my year. I have always wanted to go to Hawaii but have never had this great opportunity knock on my door.

Early this year, Greg invited me to go to Hawaii with him and his parents. The thought alone overwhelmed me. I said “YES” with no hesitation. Without the time-share they have at the Marriott in Kauai, I could never afford to go there. Well, maybe I can. But eight days in a beautiful Hawaiian resort? Geesh! That would have costed me a fortune! So, thanks Greg!
We will leave on Friday, September 28, and will catch the red-eye on the 5th of October, ETA Oakland October 6th. Greg and I will stay a night in Waikiki then fly to Kauai for the rest of the vacation.
I will definitely bring my digital camera. I will be uploading pictures every day. Not sure if I should do a photoblog here or upload it onto my Picasa online photo album. Of course, this depends on the availability of an internet connection. Also, it will depend whether I’ll actually be sober enough to upload them! LOL! Oh well.
