Weekend in SF

I flew to SFO Thursday at 8pm, got delayed for two hours, touched down at amost 2am, got my rental car by 2:30am, stuck in traffic at the Bay Bridge due to construction, and arrived at Judith’s house by 4am. I’m so thankful to Judith for letting me stay at her house. She and I talked for a bit while I was eating the sandwich that I had bought earlier. By 5am, I was in bed but couldn’t sleep. I think I slept at around 6am and then woke up at 9am. Showered and dressed, drove to work and got there by 10am.

It was very good to see my officemates again. It’s been a while. The last time I saw them was December last year. So, yeah, I had a nice time at the office. It felt good but weird at the same time. I sort of felt like a celebrity which is totally weird. I was complimented with how I had lost so much weight and had been hounded by questions on diet. I had lost 50 pounds since I left for New Jersey. How did I do it? I sought the help of Relacore and CortiSlim for about 3 months, then I adjusted my eating habits. I ate when I got hungry. Stopped eating when the hunger pangs died. So, I usually ended up eating just a little amount of food. It makes me hungry easily. But that’s what the doctor told me. My metabolism has been jump-started and it’s working better now. So, I guess, that’s how I lost weight.

After work, I went to visit my friend, Robbie who was working on his bikes. He was changing the tires, I believe, and he was a little greasy and sweating from the scorching heat of the afternoon. Anyway, we caught up with stories and what-not. I left an hour later to meet with my ex, Kit, Ate Dian, Kuya Louie, Kuya Rico, Jelly and Katrienne. We went to dinner at Chevy’s where I had a wonderful and hefty amount of Strawberry Margarita. Yummm! After dinner, Kit, Kuya Rico and I headed back to Kit’s house. We relaxed a bit, did a few songs over karaoke, then left for Castro by midnight. It was the SF Pride weekend, so the gay central of California was packed with merry-makers. By 2am, we headed back. I still had a bowling tournament to go to in the morning.

So, I got back at Judith’s by 3am, slept and woke up at 7am. By 9am, we were playing. I was not at the top of my game. I guess, the lack of sleep and exhaustion from the previous nights had caught up with me. Oh well. I did enjoy the beer and loud cheers.

After having lunch with the entire group, Judith and I went to Fry’s and I bought myself a Belkin iPod charger that had an audio out. Afterwards, we headed back to Judith’s house, took a nap, woke up by 4pm, left at 5pm, drove to Kit’s house, picked him up, then drove to SF to meet with Jun, who I had to help with the installation of Yahoo Mesenger that he couldn’t install on the mac mini. In minutes, we were on our way to Ferdie’s apartment in Daly City where we met with some of our friends. My brother, Raffy, was there too!

It was just like old times. I missed all of them. We had dinner at Ongpin, were Simon’s mom and step-dad joined us. Tita Ampy invited us over to their house where we had more alcohol and karaoke. Kit gave Jun a massage. My brothe was trying on his outfit for the Pride parade. I was starting to lose my voice, but kept on singing. LOL! It was all for fun!

It was about 2am when we all headed back to Ferdie’s apartment and said our goodbyes. I drove Jun back home. Kit and I decided to go to Denny’s after.

The drive back with Kit was … hmmm… pleasant. We talked about a lot of things about our past and what’s been going on lately. I told him how surprised our friends were that I was able to bring Kit out and meet with them for the very fist time after the breakup. Well, not really the very first time. Kit had met some of our friends but not like as a group. They were all happy to see Kit again. My brother and Kit were talking. Deep inside, I felt happy. Whatever happened in the past is gone, but not forgotten. We’ve all moved on.

While at Denny’s, Kit played his favorite game. He got three stuffed toys and gave them all to me. I brought them all back with me to Jersey. He also gave me a couple of stuffed toys yesterday as early birthday presents - a Wonder Woman stuffed doll and a white stuffed bear with an orange t-shirt that has a Supergirl logo on it. I thought that was funny.

Back when were were with the gang, they were teasing us about getting back together. When Kit and I were eating our very early breakfast, I thought to myself, “Do I still love him?”. I felt different. I still do care for him, but I couldn’t answer my own question with a ‘yes’. All I could think of at that moment was Zach. *sigh*

Actually, from the moment I went on board the plane in Newark and back, all I could really think of was Zach. We did keep in touch. We talked on the phone regularly. Anyway, I don’t want to write so much about Zach. I do write about him, but on my offline journal, which I did on the plane to SFO.

Anyway, We went back to Kit’s house by 4am. He was so exhausted and sleepy. I re-packed my things into the suitcase that he gave me. It was bigger than what I had brought with me. He was plastered on the sofa, almost totally asleep. I said goodbye and kissed him lightly on the cheek.

I drove to the airport, returned the rental car, and was at the terminal by 6:30am. I was so happy that our flight was on time. I didn’t think I could take another beating. I slept on the plane. But my allergies kept bothering me. So, I had to get up and go to the lavatory just to clear my nose. I took a couple of the Clartin-D tablets, but the medication wasn’t helping. My eyes were itchy, throat itchy and my nose was just out of control. Two hours before the scheduled arrival, I started feeling better.

Driving back to Nutley, I felt better. My nose was under control, but overall, I felt so exhausted. Minutes after settling back, I went to sleep, woke up by 10pm, ate dinner, and decided to write an account of my trip.

So, here it is.
