A lesson in vocabulary. It could help clear your mind. It could make it worse. In my case, it’s worse. So help me out, won’t you?
FIXATION: an obsessive interest in or feeling about someone or something
OBSESS: preoccupy or fill the mind of (someone) continually, intrusively, and to a troubling extent
LOVE: an intense feeling of deep affection
INTENSE: existing in a high degree; forceful or extreme
AFFECTION: a gentle feeling of fondness or liking
Get it?
Is it love that I’m feeling or is it a fixation or obsession? How do you really know? It is so confusing. Until I know what it is, I cannot move towards any direction.
I’m in a rut trying to analyze what it is.
I wish I knew so that I can tell myself, “Hey, Don, you’re crazy. Move on.” Or, “Hey, Don, tell him how you feel. Tell him that you love him.”
How does one truly know which is which?
