WordPress Theme Feature: RoundFlow 1.0

I first got a glimpse of the RoundFlow 1.0 theme by Thomas Silkjær when I was going through the entries for the WordPress 2.0 Theme Competition.

At an initial glance, you’d think, “Yeah, that’s simple.”. You would never know what’s under the hood unless you download it and activate it on your own site. I did just that. As my curiousity taught me, there’s a lot of things you can discover by looking at the codes, and not just judging the outcome. It’s the classic “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. You can really learn a lot by looking beyond what’s visible.

Anyway, I was impressed at what I saw. This is the very first WordPress theme to my knowledge that actually uses the Nifty Corners Cube by Alessandro Fulciniti. I’ve always wanted to do one but my limitations hindered me. I even sent Alessandro Fulciniti an email asking if he could release a code for WordPress. That didn’t happen. LOL!

Anyway, I’m really not an expert at coding, but if you took a bit of time to check out the theme files, they’re so neatly coded. Clean is actually the word. Very neat and clean. Excellent job, Thomas!
